The challenge


Inventory Forecast and Planning:

Delair encountered significant challenges in
inventory forecasting and production planning, struggling to effectively synchronize
incoming and outgoing stock with their procurement and manufacturing schedules. This
misalignment led to inefficiencies such as overstocking, stock shortages, and disruptions
in production flow.

Managing Product Versioning & Qualification:

The company also faced difficulties in managing product versioning and qualification due to frequent updates in drone technology. Proper tracking of hardware and software versions was critical to ensuring the right solutions were deployed to meet specific customer requirements, mitigating the risk of operational delays or costly errors.

Inventory Forecast and Planning:

The solution for Delair's inventory forecasting and production planning challenges was
implemented using Odoo's Replenishment and Manufacturing Planning tools. Odoo’s
Replenishment system automated stock management by ensuring optimal inventory levels,
triggering restocking based on demand forecasts. Meanwhile, the Manufacturing Planning
module helped Delair coordinate production schedules with inventory availability, ensuring that production aligned seamlessly with procurement and stock needs, leading to efficient production cycles and minimized stock discrepancies.

Managing Product Versioning:

For Delair, managing multiple versions of their drone products was streamlined through Odoo's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ECO (Engineering Change Orders)
management features along with Cluedoo's Product Qualification, Parameter versioning
modules. These tools helped Delair track product versions across different stages of their
lifecycle, from development to final product release. By implementing a structured PLM system, Delair could easily track changes in both hardware and software versions, ensuring the right products and updates were deployed at the right time without confusion or errors.

Document Management:

Delair’s document management challenges were addressed by utilizing Odoo Document and Cluedoo's Parameter modules. This allowed Delair to centralize and organize all critical
technical documents related to their drones, such as product specifications, regulatory
documentation, and maintenance manuals. The system ensured easy access to up-to-date
documentation, improving internal communication and compliance with industry standards.

The Odoo solution was a significant success for Delair. By customizing and implementing Odoo apps, the company was able to streamline its document management, efficiently manage product versioning, and improve its inventory forecasting and planning.
