Migration Success Story:
From Odoo 13 Enterprise to Odoo 16 Enterprise
The migration project of Zippsafe – from Odoo 13 to 16 – is the story of a dynamically growing company operating in three countries, manufacturing locker solutions, which aimed for long-term stability through the implementation of modern ERP solutions.
Their initial situation was that the previous Odoo 13 version could no longer meet the increasing demands requiring international coordination and more efficient management of internal processes. The outdated system had been left without support, making migration inevitable.
During the project, more than 30 people collaborated: 24 from Zippsafe's dedicated project team and 6 partner developers from Online ERP. Within the company, a dedicated project team was formed, functioning as a mini-company, aligning the needs across countries. The main challenges were international coordination, organizational unification, and a seamless transition, which required thorough planning and step-by-step implementation.
The process began with migration preparation: data cleansing, needs assessment, and optimization were carried out. This was followed by building the functionality of the new system, with a focus on product-level quality control, enabling more detailed data collection in production. The modern time management module ensured more transparent project and resource management. System testing and user training preceded the go-live phase, significantly reducing the difficulties associated with the transition.
The users' reception was particularly positive: they quickly adapted to the modern interface and appreciated the system's speed and the benefits of the new features. With the new Odoo 16, Zippsafe's processes became more transparent, unified, and efficient across three countries, significantly facilitating international operations.

Zippsafe is looking to the future and already planning the transition to the next stable LTS version to ensure the long-term stability and development of the system. The migration, led by Online ERP, proved that close collaboration, clear goals, and step-by-step planning can solve even the most complex international challenges.
